So much to post here, and it’s been a little while, I’ll admit! There is something about *time* right now that is really odd. It goes really slowly; it goes really fast; we can’t keep track of what day it is; It’s March 15; It’s May 11…how is it MAY?!!!!!!
The first thing I’ll mention is that we’re excited to once again be offering the delivery of gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, cleansing and nourishing meals (7 full days worth!) in partnership with KitchKat Catering, from May 17-23. Enjoy seven days of this healthy, anti-inflammatory menu that will make you feel energized, focused, and glow-y. Link to learn more and see the menu is here. (Orders must be placed before midnight on Tuesday, May 12th!)
Little Green was thrilled to recently be spotlighted in Edible DC’s latest online mag. In the article are a few recipes featuring ingredients easily found in spring farmer’s markets. I love Edible DC, their amazing magazine, their support for local foodie businesses, and their creativity. You can find amazing restaurants, CSA’s, events (not during Covid-19), farms, and so much more in their print or online magazine. Check them out if you haven’t seen their publications!
The recipes included in the article are for Boniato con Mojo Verde (crispy sweet potatoes with a creamy + spicy yogurt sauce and a herby relish), and Sunchokes with Pistachios and Grapefruit. Two elegant, dinner-party-worthy side dishes that can easily be turned into vegetarian mains if desired.
We hope that you are able to get out and support your local farmer’s at the markets this weekend. If you try out these dishes, please let us know what you think in the comments below! And for those of you in the DC area, please consider trying out our monthly food delivery!!!!! Stay safe and healthy, everyone.
