I often have those summer evenings when I think, “It’s cocktail hour, sweet summer is in full swing, and I feel celebratory but really do Not. Want. Any. Alcohol.” Sexy summer mocktails are your answer, my friend!
The other night we had friends over for an annual “soccer and sangria” party. One of our friends is not drinking alcohol or sugar at the moment, and I still wanted him to feel included with the drink fun. I came up with this delicious alcohol and sugar-free sangria mocktail that was just divine. I’ve been drinking it in the evenings ever since!
The nice thing about this recipe is its versatility. I was going low-sugar, so my sangria fruits were lime, mango, and raspberries. You could also do orange, apple, pear, cranberries, or pineapple. I blend the ginger-lime-cranberry in my vitamix and then store it in a jar in the fridge, and any time I want some, I just add it to a glass with ice, pour in some fizzy water, and add a few pieces of fruit (which you can also have pre-cut in the fridge.)
