You may have missed the “early bird” special for the April 15-24 cleanse, BUT…never fear! There is an equally (better?) incentive for those of you who register between now and April 14th. Every registrant will be entered into a drawing to win BOTH a copy of Laurel Gallucci’s new cookbook Sweet Laurel: Recipes for Whole Food, Grain-Free Desserts AND a $25 gift card to Crate and Barrel. WOW! Just think….if 20 of you register in the next week, your odds are pretty good! If 50 of you register…still pretty good! This prize has a value of $45. Register for the cleanse here now!
But, even better than winning this amazing prize is the experience you will have detoxing. The body deeply benefits from detoxing quarterly. You’ll be focusing on the fuel that makes your body run….real, nutritional, powerful, clean foods that will regenerate healthy cells, bolster immunity, clear out your intestinal tract, shed toxins, and boost your enzyme reserves. 90% of Little Green cleanse participants feel more energetic, focused and alert after they cleanse, not to mention losing a few pounds, clearing up their skin, and generally feeling better.
Also, if you are in DC and want to order your food, you must do so by April 11. More here. And consider previewing The Elements DC reBOOT (daily urban woodland walks–you get a discount if you register for the cleanse and the reBOOT!) by registering for this Sunday’s 7:30 a.m. brisk Preview reBOOT Walk and Chai on eventbrite here! This will begin on Klingle Road and go through Tregaron Conservancy and Rock Creek Park. We’ll provide you with warm chai and some nibbles, too.
Here is a sneak preview of a simple Little Green recipe that you can keep in your fridge and will make eating a salad a lot more realistic…..you can throw those greens and that avocado in a bowl for lunch if you have a delicious dressing on hand! (and put away those grilled cheese ingredients!)
French Dressing
1/2 cup olive oil
1 lemon, juiced
1 tsp. dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper, freshly ground
Combine in a mason jar and shake well. Store in fridge for up to a week.
Enjoy your weekend, friends!
