My friend Catherine, a regular cleanser in April, always has her birthday during the cleanse. Here is the favorite birthday cake recipe I shared with her years ago! Adapted from Whole Life Nutrition Cookbook

Ingredients
  • 1cup creamy almond butter
  • 2large large eggs
  • 1/3cup coconut oilmelted, plus more for greasing pan
  • 1/3cup maple syrup
  • 1/4cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/2tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4tsp. sea salt
  • 2tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1/2tsp. Almond extract
  • [Whipped Coconut Cream]
  • fresh raspberries
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease a round pan with coconut oil.
  2. Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend until combined. Pour batter into pan and spread evently. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool, slice and serve.
  3. Optional serving idea: whipped coconut vanilla cream on top with fresh berries.
