Peanut Butter + Jelly Acai Smoothie

  • 1 frozen acai packet
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2-3 tbsp unsweetened peanut butter
  • 1 tsp agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk more if needed
  1. Purée in a blender or vitamix until smooth and enjoy!

The Acai berry is famous in Brazilian culture as a high energy food. It is one of nature's most concentrated sources of antioxidants (and has twice the amount of blueberries.) It has a low sugar content, is high in healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, and has a large number of vitamins and minerals. Acai also contains plant sterols, which are linked to lowering cholesterol.
